Book Reviews
The first thing to say without delay is that most books I read “review” me – rather than the other way around. I feel like one needs to be an Orwell, or a Tolkien to be in a position to review a Lewis. And who am I that anyone should care about the things I, a midget, say about these giants? In reality, I should say, this isn’t a collection of attempts to review authors as much as a review of the impact a particular book had on me. In other words, this is just me sharing notes I’ve written down as I go through these books.
So, why write book reviews? Because I’m not smart. And also because my brain isn’t extraordinary. This is being too self deprecating.
